Start with the Spain application

For Spain, first distinguish an English-speaking international vacancy from a role requiring Spanish applications. A translated document is not automatically a targeted one. Select evidence that answers the responsibilities in the vacancy and confirm the employer's requested language.

A digital-product applicant can explain the customer problem, product stage and decisions owned. An engineering candidate should identify discipline and project scope. Returning professionals can make overseas experience understandable with brief employer context rather than assuming brand names will be recognised.

Check the format before writing

Keep qualification titles, dates and employment arrangements accurate across CV versions. State language proficiency without implying professional fluency from casual use. Spanish writing and translation are not part of the published English package and should not be assumed from the country label.

Use conventional section headings and selectable text. Keep the reading order straightforward, and check that contact details survive a plain-text copy of the file. Submit the file type the employer requests. There is no universal ATS score or layout that guarantees shortlisting.

Turn a duty into useful evidence

A product manager could explain a customer problem, the prioritisation decision they made and the measured effect after release, avoiding unsupported claims that one change transformed the entire business.

For each important claim, record the context, your own action and a result you can explain. When a numerical result is unavailable, use a concrete outcome such as a completed implementation, a resolved issue or an approved process. The purpose is accuracy and relevance, not a number in every sentence.

Before you submit

• Match the target title to your actual capabilities.
• Check employer names, dates and qualification details.
• Explain unfamiliar employers or project settings briefly.
• Remove claims you cannot support in an interview.
• Check links, spelling, file format and any separate application questions.
