For a Finland application, identify the skills and experience that answer the employer's needs. Present your competence through concrete work, projects or studies. Keep the CV focused on the role instead of treating it as a complete personal history.

Describe language proficiency honestly and follow the vacancy's requested application language. An English CV is useful for suitable English-language roles, but it does not remove a Finnish or Swedish requirement where an employer specifies one.

Check the format before writing

If your work experience is from another country, explain the context in plain terms and show the relevant contribution. Projects or portfolio links can help demonstrate technical work when they are public and appropriate to share. Confirm academic formats separately.

Use conventional section headings and selectable text. Keep the reading order straightforward, and check that contact details survive a plain-text copy of the file. Submit the file type the employer requests. There is no universal ATS score or layout that guarantees shortlisting.

Turn a duty into useful evidence
