Romania CV guide: format, evidence and common mistakes

Plan a clear CV for Romania: relevant experience, application requirements and practical examples for your target role.

The short answer

A strong Romania CV connects the requirements of one target role to evidence from your experience. Romania applications benefit from a clear account of technical delivery, service ownership and the languages you actually use at work. Start with the employer's instructions, then decide the structure and level of detail.

Start with the Romania application

Separate Romanian-language applications from English-language opportunities before choosing a CV writer. For an English vacancy, explain the business purpose of your work as well as the tools involved. A product engineer and a shared-services analyst need different evidence even when both work for international employers.

For a shared-services CV, specify the process you owned, the countries or stakeholders you supported and any controls you maintained. Describe a process improvement with its starting point and your contribution. Do not treat an internal job title as a complete explanation of seniority.

Check the format before writing

Ask whether the employer wants a CV alone or supporting documents as well. Keep qualification titles accurate and explain unfamiliar abbreviations. An English rewrite is not a certified translation, and a role requiring Romanian fluency cannot be addressed simply by changing the document language.

Use conventional section headings and selectable text. Keep the reading order straightforward, and check that contact details survive a plain-text copy of the file. Submit the file type the employer requests. There is no universal ATS score or layout that guarantees shortlisting.

Turn a duty into useful evidence

For example, a reconciliation analyst can describe the exception process they redesigned, the teams involved and how completion was checked, rather than claiming responsibility for an entire finance transformation.

For each important claim, record the context, your own action and a result you can explain. When a numerical result is unavailable, use a concrete outcome such as a completed implementation, a resolved issue or an approved process. The purpose is accuracy and relevance, not a number in every sentence.

Before you submit

  • Match the target title to your actual capabilities.
  • Check employer names, dates and qualification details.
  • Explain unfamiliar employers or project settings briefly.
  • Remove claims you cannot support in an interview.
  • Check links, spelling, file format and any separate application questions.

When professional support is useful

A rewrite is useful when your experience is strong but its relevance to the Romania role is hard to see. It can also help with a change of sector or a move into leadership. Bring your existing CV, a representative vacancy and an evidence list to the profile review.

Writing cannot replace missing qualifications or experience. The service improves the clarity and positioning of the application; employers still decide which candidates progress.
